You know, we talked about some economic stuff. Governor Newsom came out and said San Francisco is a mess. Like, how can Mike? If there was a problem with the company you own, you would try to fix it. Right? Because you're the owner.

Speaker Tom Touchstone: Newsom's the highest ranking government official in California. Am I mistaken? No. So if he thinks that there's a problem, he should be able to fix it.

Speaker Tom Touchstone: Rip well, his quote is ripping people off amid continue high prices played for suckers. I mean, Biden Harvey no idea what he's talking about. So he's reading the script maybe you should think about the better wording he can use. But how can a grocery store run up their prices so high that people can afford it because I think you should look at gas, transportation fees. Right? Yeah. The cost of raising beef or growing vegetables

Speaker Tom Touchstone: in a in a environment where They aren't friendly because we have climate rules. So you can't so you gotta be conscious of costs are going up.

Speaker Mike Harvey: Well, it it it really is simply a matter plan demand. You say, well, the evil grocery stores, okay. Well, who's gonna be the leader and and drop their prices? Because even Walmart's high. Right? The low price leader, they're still more than what they were before. Are they price gouging? Because their their whole business plan is to be the the low cost leader.

Speaker Tom Touchstone: The the they were talking about the retail crime and they were blaming that on racism. Of course, that's where they always go when that happens. But what did sheriff Mike Badrose tell us. He says the the the theft in retail isn't happening from the mom that can't forward in gallon of milk and goes to a half

Speaker Tom Touchstone: organized crime. Yeah. It's organized theft that actually go in for high ticket items. It's not the it's not Mike you said, it's not the gallon of milk. It's not the stick of butter. It's not the cereal box. They're going in for a Harvey high dollar Tom. And there's no consequences.

Speaker Mike Harvey: But but I wanna know why because they they've set this up. So there is no consequences. Why did they create the situation.

Speaker Tom Touchstone: Well, remember you talked about this on our show the other day, which we're gonna bring, to you, our to the audience, is the fact that that prop forty seven, which we're now trying to overturn because he said they lied to the public and brought it in that there are no consequences to law because it was behind a safe school initiative. So so so if they're out there, I mean, one of the things that I think we can't do nowadays is trust the politicians to bring us a a very clear cut, very explained resolution. And since it is it it was voted by the people, it has to be overturned by the people. Well, I

Speaker Tom Touchstone: Well, it's it's funny because California and my wife's in public education was neat to know or very interesting to know that Mike Padro share Tom Larry County's wife's principal in the public school system and pushing back. But but it's very interesting that prop thirty set prop thirteen's coming back up. Now that was a, initiative that was overturned when I was young and prop thirteen gave funding to local schools through property taxes. And basically it came in. They said that's gonna stop. So we we we haven't had that for a long Tom, but now Newsom's talking about bringing it back because guess what? He spent all his money that we had. I mean, he came out about a year or two ago and said we had, like, sixty billion dollars of a of a of of a fund. And now he's come back and I think we're thirty five billion in the hole. I don't know if that's who's accounting there it is. It is. But how do

Speaker Mike Harvey: how do we make that big of a swing?

Speaker Tom Touchstone: I don't know. But there's a mistake, and they gotta figure out how to get money from the, to run the schools now. Because they gave it all away to non citizens

Speaker Tom Touchstone: Well, it's just free money. So why would they? I mean, there's no responsibility.

So So there again, I mean, you got you've got all this stuff going on and you've got people wanting to point the finger in the opposite direction of where it should be pointed Biden should be looking at the cost of gas, which they've already kind of moved aside. Right? I I did see the sticker the other day. Remember those stickers when it first gas was first out of sight because they started, you know, especially in California, They've started eliminating fossil fuels. But remember the sticker that was on the gas pump that says I did that. I saw one the other day. Good job for you guys out there. Because, like, I know I I think there's you can't do that now. But there are people out there doing it? Yeah. Well, they that you're not supposed Tom, I don't think, but they're they they took they scraped the whole stickers, but they're doing it again. Nobody wants them to run. And but they're like, well, who do we have? We have Gavin or we have, Michelle slash Mike.

And and and having some feelings for people because they don't like that. I'm a bully type personality. And I hope and then no one's asking my opinion. So I'm just throwing it out there. And I heard Charlie Kirk say it. I think last night Tom. Also, is that that somebody needs to have a conversation and it can't come from you and I. It needs to come from that demographics. And needs to come from that demographic and sit down and tell Donald Trump what exactly they're looking for in a precedent.
